Our MC

Entertainment

Paulini

Paulini has been heralded as one of the finest vocalists and performers to come out of Australia. This Fijian born songstress was barely in her 20s as we watched her shine through the lens of the first series of Australian Idol and thrust into the spotlight as the competition reached fever like pitch, finishing in the final four.

As an artist Paulini rose to prominence on the top of the Australian ARIA Charts in 2004 with her debut Platinum album “One Determined Heart” and her Platinum smash single “Angel Eyes”, both hitting the No. 1 spot. In fact, Paulini is one of only ten Australian female solo artists to have a #1 album.

Paulini is a passionate supporter of RizeUp, having survived domestic violence herself and written about her experience in her incredible song, Scarless. Guests at the RizeUp Ball will have the opportunity to hear Paulini perform Scarless live, and she will also get everyone up and dancing with the greatest hits from her impressive song catalogue.

Bassline Studios

Bassline is Brisbane’s premier live music act, with a line up and diversity of genres rarely seen in the corporate world. From blues and soul, to pop, jazz, funk and some good ole fashioned party bangers, Bassline will have your toes tapping and feet aching well after you’ve headed home.

With their combination of soaring guitar lines, killer sax, and deliciously smooth vocals, Bassline is the perfect complement to any event. Setting the right mood, and taking you on a musical journey.

Bassline is thrilled to be playing for the Rize Up Gala - an organisation they’ve had an affiliation with for three years and one built on a desire to make a difference.

Bassline offers intimate duo right through to party band. At the Rize Up Gala, enjoy their 4 piece palooza!

Beneficiaries

RizeUp

As a leading not-for-profit within Australia's domestic and family violence sector, RizeUp provides vital practical support that gives these families agency when they are deciding what happens next. RizeUp works collaboratively with services to support families who are at the most significant risk of homelessness, injury, and homicide, and most of these families have walked away from their homes and possessions. For many, this is the reason they return to violence.

From the creation of fully furnished homes, providing vital resources for the children beginning at a new school, to covering the cost of specialist counselling and medical support, RizeUp is an instrumental piece of the trauma recovery puzzle.

They also offer safety planning, crisis counselling, intervention, information and referrals at no cost.
